Boot Camp

Boot camp is always a challenge… In Heart N Sole Boot Camp classes even the average Joe or the beginner exerciser will get a great sweat and body burn from the classes. POUND the rock star work out

Pound Is the world’s first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious energizing and sweat dripping fun of playing the drums.

Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.

Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeal to men and women of all ages and abilities.

+ Each 2-4 minute song is carefully calibrated with interval peaks and extended fat burning sequences, providing you with the best workout in the shortest span of time. After you’re done rocking out in a 45-minute POUND class, you’ll have completed up to 15,000 reps, performed over 30 extended interval peaks, and zipped through more than 70 techniques without even realizing it.

+ Numerous studies have proven the powerful brain-boosting, stress-relieving effects of drumming. The rhythm of drumming permeates the entire brain to improve focus, increase higher-level thinking and decision-making skills, boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, decrease chronic pain, anxiety, and fatigue.

+ You’ll burn up to 900+ calories per hour, strengthen and sculpt infrequently used muscles, and drum your way to a leaner, stronger physique – all while rocking out to your favorite music!

+ You’ll drastically improve your rhythm, timing, coordination, speed, agility, endurance, and musicality. Instead of counting reps or keeping track of the clock, POUND strategically distracts you from the high-intensity and duration of your workout/ and shifts your focus to rhythm and volume. This strategic distraction is responsible for the “addictiveness” of POUND – the reason you can’t stay away!

Strong By Zumba

The famous exercise brand has ventured into new territory with a new program called Strong by Zumba. Strong by Zumba is a high-intensity interval class — think burpees, pushups, and other high-impact moves — that’s synced to specific musicStop counting the reps. Start training to the beat. STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more.

In a one-hour class, you will burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats, and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® instructors change up the music and moves frequently to make sure you’re always challenged to the max.

Boxing

Not only is fighting it’s strength and cardio workout in one, it’s the best way to get in tune with your inner badass..You’ll sculpt every muscle.

A two-for-one cardio and strength workout, boxing improves overall fitness, says Jessica Matthews, an exercise physiologist for the American Council on Exercise. “In addition to boosting your strength and cardio, boxing improves a number of skill-related parameters of fitness, including balance, coordination, reactivity, and agility,” she says. How else do you think you’re going to dodge and counter punches at lightning speed?

And if anyone tells you that boxing is predominantly an upper-body workout, they’re doing it wrong. “If you do it right—once you’ve learned how to fire everything with proper form—you’re getting a full-body workout,” says Hernan Santa Jr., head of the sparring program at Everybody Fights in New York. While, yes, your arms extend for each punch, you’re actually driving power from your hips and legs. “You’ll also work your back, shoulders, and core,” says Santa. (These boutique studios are redefining what it means to cross-train.)

You’ll burn major calories—fast.

Cardiovascular improvement.

Improves resting heart rate, muscle endurance, increased stamina 1, 000 calories an hour.

You’ll relieve stress like never before.

Whatever’s got you ready to snap, boxing will help you calm down. “I’d say the number-one thing that sets boxing apart from other workouts is the degree of stress relief,” Not only is hitting something a healthy and productive way to help you let go of tension, the rush of endorphins may make you happier too. A study published in Neuropsychopharmacology found that people who engaged in high-intensity workouts for an hour released significantly more endorphins than those who spent an hour on moderate exercise. (ICYDK, boxing definitely falls into the high-intensity category.)

The mental perks of boxing don’t stop there: “Boxing builds confidence and discipline at another level,” Gonzalez says.

You’ll improve your coordination.

Hand-eye coordination is key for boxing. Punching a bag or sparring requires focused movements and amazing recall, challenging your muscles and your mind.

Socialize

Zumba

The High/ low cardio dance craze that has hit this world by storm. Zumba is 10 years young and still one of the hottest forms of exercise that is fun. It is such a satisfying work out when you really don’t have to remember to do all the choreography… at Heart N Sole all we ask is you shake your bum and smile. Allow the music to take you back in time or to a happy place where exercise does not exist just moving and having a good time.  Its exercises in disguise.

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is just like Zumba… well… the differences are that it is at a slower pace so that the older aging population can shake what there momma’s gave them or for someone with disabilities can work at a more successful rate. There is no high-intensity movement (ie jumping or running) with in the Zumba Gold program. It was also designed to help new participants who have never exercised to ease them into a fun dynamic of exercise.

Zumba Gold Toning

Zumba Gold toning was created to help give a challenge to thoughts whom needed on but did not want the intensity of a regular Zumba class. In this class we add 1 to 2 lb weights to the hands… or Zumba weights and keep the pace of the class. The weights are to give the upper body more of a challenge. Sculpting the triceps, biceps shoulders and oblique while shaking a bum.. What more could you ask for?

HIIT Training / Tabata training

Increases Metabolism- combining high intensity movement with small rest periods.

Its known as the “Work out that keeps giving the afterburn”.

It can be quick and convenient 30 min lunch time classes.

Equipment not necessary but it give another dimension if used. Optimal muscle building and muscle retention couples with fat loss and increased calorie burn.

High-intensity interval training (HIIT) has the fitness industry buzzing because of its potential to torch maximum calories in a minimum amount of time. The idea is that you do short periods of all-out work followed by short periods of active rest to make the body work harder than it does during steady-state cardio.

You’ll Burn More Fat. Not only do you burn more calories during a HIIT workout, but the effect of all that intense exertion kicks your body’s repair cycle into hyper drive. That means you burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT workout than you do after, say, a steady-pace run.

Ballet Bootcamp

Ballet inspired movement with weights. We can also use stability ball to help sculpt and lean out the muscles to help burn the calories to fitness.
